PURPOSE OF JOB

Manage and accountability of Consumables, company owned small tools, and all duties thereof.


TYPICAL DUTIES

  • Work alongside the members of the equipment department to meet the needs of multiple job sites
  • Maintain an organized tool crib to provide the superintendents with a smooth ordering process for all tools and consumables
  • Remove all consumables taken from the tool crib and be sure they are applied to proper job numbers and/or GL codes
  • Maintain a consistent and accurate inventory of tools for every superintendent in the inventory program and with our physical tool transfer books
  • Handle all billing each Wednesday for the Spartanburg, Fab Shop, Charleston, Columbia, and Kingsport Tool Room until Toolwatch is implemented.
  • Schedule pick up/deliveries of consumables, small tools, and equipment from job sites daily.
  • Help implement and train the small tool and consumable side with the new system Toolwatch.
  • Must have the ability to learn and understand the Wasp Inventory Cloud, eventually Toolwatch, and Viewpoint programs for all parts of the job
  • Ensure that all new tools purchased receive an ID number and are entered in both Viewpoint and the Inventory Cloud
  • Will need a basic understanding of the Purchase Order system to place purchases for Tool Room specific responsibilities
  • Maintain and schedule yearly rigging inspections
  • Maintain Arc Flash Suit inspections (6 months)
  • Attain Consumable pricing for the year and hold vendors accountable for maintaining pricing.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Use computer software applications (word, excel, outlook).
  • Organize and maintain filing systems for projects.
  • Communicate well with vendors and fellow employees.
  • Plan work and solve problems.
  • Use logical procedures in work.
  • Understand units of measurement.
  • Make decisions based on measurable information.
  • Lift and carry objects of up to 50 lbs.
  • Obtain a forklift certification.
  • Valid Drivers License and dependable transportation.
